A pilot survey is when you share your survey with a select group of people to ask for feedback. With the feedback in mind, you can adjust the survey so that it is better and more efficient.
I have completed my pilot survey with five students that are in my Maths class. The last question asked what they thought of my survey. The pilot survey aimed to find out if I had fulfilled the purpose of the questionnaire, specifically if I asked enough questions about if the information found on the website was sufficient and useful. With their feedback, I can now change my questionnaire so that it is better.
After seeing their responses, I saw that I split up 'psychology' and 'social studies' in the question asking what department the student visits the most when on the website. It is not necessary for them to be separate as psychology falls within social studies. I also removed the 'required' aspect of some questions, as it wasn't absolutely necessary for it to be answered. With these changes, it is now easier to do the questionnaire.
